Strobilanthes dyerianus [Persian Shield]
Arguably the most phenomenal foliar specimen of the plant world, the Persian Shield has long slender leaves which are very slightly serrated. They have deep green viens with a shimmering surface of purple and silver. Native to tropical Myanmar.
Best in bright, indirect light. Water evenly when the top half inch of the compost has dried out. Requires humidity and warmth – mist often or ideally keep on a pebble tray. Apply diluted feed in spring and summer.
