No Water Flowers® are the original waxed amaryllis bulbs, developed by Dutch specialists Vreugdenhil Bulbs & Plants and Greencre8 and first introduced in 2012.

Unlike a standard amaryllis bulb, each one is specially selected and tested to grow and flower using the moisture and energy already stored inside the bulb. The decorative wax coating means there is no need for soil, a pot or watering.

Our bulbs are premium No Water Flowers® selected for 2 or more flower stems, creating a generous display as the flowers open in succession. A discreet support underneath keeps the bulb stable throughout growing and flowering.

Available in two classic finishes:
Red wax – red flowers
White wax – white flowers

Do waxed amaryllis bulbs need watering?
No. Please don't water them. The bulb contains the moisture and stored energy it needs to grow and flower.

How long do wax amaryllis bulbs take to flower?
Usually around 3–6 weeks, depending on room temperature and the individual bulb. Warmer conditions generally encourage faster growth.

When should I buy one if I want flowers for Christmas?
As flowering time varies naturally from bulb to bulb, it isn't possible to guarantee blooms on a particular date. If you're hoping for flowers around Christmas, buying several weeks beforehand gives the bulb time to develop. The bulb also makes an attractive festive display while it grows.

How long do the flowers last?
Each bulb produces 2 or more flower stems, with individual flowers opening in succession to create an impressive display over an extended period.

Can I grow the bulb on after flowering?
It is possible. Once flowering has finished, carefully remove the wax and pot the bulb into compost. Because it has used a considerable amount of stored energy to flower without soil or water, it will need time and good care to recover and may not flower again straight away.

Are wax amaryllis bulbs pet safe?
No. Amaryllis is toxic if eaten by cats or dogs, so keep the bulb and plant out of reach of pets and small children.
