Monstera plants are native to the tropical forests of South America and the Monstera genus is a member of the arum family. This genus can often be found tethering on to tree trunks with their aerial roots for support. We create a similar growing situation by adding coir poles to more mature plant, this also allows a more controlled upright growth.
