Phalaenopsis ‘White Punch’ is a compact moth orchid with elegant pure white blooms that last for weeks. With simple care it can produce fresh buds throughout the year, making it an excellent long-lasting gift and a standout indoor flowering plant.
Place in bright indirect light. Water when the roots appear silvery, usually every 10 days to two weeks depending on the season. Dunk the nursery pot in tepid water for around 10 minutes to fully hydrate the roots and feed with an orchid fertiliser in spring and summer. Keep leaves clean to support healthy growth.
After flowering, trim the spent spike just above the second visible node to encourage a new side shoot. If the plant is healthy but not blooming, lowering the temperature by about 5°C for four weeks often triggers a fresh flower spike.
