Kalanchoe 'Oricula' is a striking and unusual succulent with thick, fleshy leaves that curl backwards to form an architectural rosette. The grey-green foliage develops attractive red margins in bright light, with cooler temperatures often intensifying the colouring, making this a real statement plant despite its compact size.
Native to southern Africa, 'Oricula' is a distinctive mutation of Kalanchoe luciae, prized for its sculptural form and exceptionally easy-going nature.
Care
Position in bright light, ideally with a few hours of direct sunshine each day to encourage compact growth and rich colouring. Plant in a free-draining compost and water thoroughly only when the compost has dried out completely. Reduce watering significantly during winter. Feed monthly with a houseplant fertiliser during spring and summer.
