Zamioculcas zamiifolia ‘Zenzi’ XL

Zamioculcas zamiifolia ‘Zenzi’ XL, commonly known as the Dwarf ZZ Plant, is a larger specimen of this compact ZZ variety, with thick upright stems and dense, glossy dark-green foliage. Its sculptural form and substantial size make it an excellent statement plant for sideboards, plant stands and floor-level displays.

Native to eastern Africa, ZZ Plants are renowned for being exceptionally resilient houseplants. ‘Zenzi’ has a shorter, denser growth habit than the standard ZZ Plant, creating a distinctive layered shape while retaining the same tolerance of lower light and infrequent watering.

Light & Position

Prefers bright, indirect light but will tolerate lower light levels. Avoid prolonged strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering

Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. ZZ Plants store water in their thick underground rhizomes, so they are far more tolerant of being too dry than too wet.

Care

Keep in a warm position away from cold draughts. Average household humidity is fine. Feed occasionally during spring and summer with a diluted houseplant fertiliser.
