add a pot to fit this plant

The Zamia furfuracea, also known as the Cardboard Palm, may seem like a palm but actually belongs to the Cycad family. Alongside the Sago Palm, this resilient houseplant has withstood the test of time, surviving even the era of dinosaurs.

What sets the Cardboard Palm apart from typical palms is its robust and chunky trunk, called a "caudex," from which it's stiff and leathery fronds emerge. These fronds, delicately ridged and resembling corrugated cardboard, start out upright but eventually curve gracefully, creating a picturesque cascade within a beautifully arranged rosette.

Keep in a bright, draught-free area with indirect light. Water when soil is half dry - less in fall and winter. Maintain 16-24°C and fertilise monthly with houseplant feed. Repot every 3 years with cactus mix and rotate for balanced growth.
