A bold, architectural statement plant, Yucca elephantipes (also known as the Spineless Yucca) is native to the arid regions of Central America and is prized for its upright canes and spiky green foliage. Slow-growing and very low maintenance, it is an ideal indoor plant for busy homes and bright spaces.
Yucca is drought tolerant and prefers to dry out between waterings. In spring and summer, water thoroughly when the compost feels dry, then allow excess water to drain away. Reduce watering in winter. Position in a bright spot for best growth. You can remove any older dead leaves by gently pulling them away from the stem.
