Wisteria sinensis ‘Prolific’
Wisteria sinensis ‘Prolific Blue’ is a beautiful, fast-growing climbing plant known for its cascading clusters of fragrant violet-blue flowers. When in bloom, it creates a soft, romantic display, ideal for transforming outdoor spaces.
Supplied as a young, established plant trained onto cane supports, it offers an excellent starting point for growing along walls, trellises, pergolas or garden structures. Over time, it will develop into a striking feature plant, bringing height, movement and seasonal drama.
Care & positioning
Place outdoors in full sun in a sheltered position. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil or a large container with support. Water regularly while establishing, then reduce as the plant matures. Wisteria benefits from regular pruning to encourage flowering and maintain shape.
Good to know
A vigorous climber that can take a few seasons to reach full flowering potential. Prune twice a year (summer and winter) to encourage blooms. Hardy in the UK.
