Vanda Orchid (XL Hanging)

Vanda Orchid (XL Hanging – Approx. 80cm) is a truly striking, architectural houseplant, known for its dramatic aerial roots and large, vibrant blooms. Suspended from a simple wire hanger, it creates a beautiful, floating display that brings a bold, tropical feel to any interior.

Highly prized by collectors, Vanda orchids are unlike traditional potted orchids. Their exposed root system and sculptural form make them a standout feature in bright kitchens, bathrooms or living spaces where they can hang freely and catch the light.

Light: Requires very bright light. A sunny spot is ideal, with some protection from intense midday sun.
Watering: Mist daily to keep roots hydrated. Once a week, soak the roots in lukewarm water for around 20–30 minutes.
Humidity: Prefers a warm, humid environment — perfect for kitchens or bathrooms.
Feeding: Apply a diluted orchid fertiliser regularly during spring and summer to support flowering.
Aftercare: Once flowering has finished, trim back the spent stem. With the right conditions, the plant will flower again over time.

Good to know: Supplied with a hanging wire. Best displayed suspended to allow the roots to hang naturally and dry between watering.
