Star Jasmine
Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Star Jasmine, is a beautiful evergreen climber with glossy dark green leaves and highly fragrant white star-shaped flowers in summer.
This plant offers immediate structure and impact, making it perfect for walls, fences and sheltered outdoor spaces. As it matures, it will continue to climb and spread, creating a dense, leafy backdrop.
Its intensely scented blooms are a real highlight during the warmer months, filling the air with a soft, jasmine-like fragrance.
Position: Full sun to partial shade in a sheltered spot, protected from cold winds.
Watering: Water regularly while establishing and during dry spells.
Soil: Well-drained soil is essential. Suitable for containers and garden planting.
Care: Tie in new growth as needed. Can be lightly trimmed after flowering to maintain shape.
Good to know: Evergreen and relatively slow-growing at first, but becomes more vigorous once established. Best suited to milder areas or sheltered urban gardens.
