Trachelospermum jasminoides

Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Star Jasmine, is a beautiful evergreen climber loved for its glossy foliage and wonderfully fragrant white flowers. During late spring and summer, masses of star-shaped blooms appear, filling the air with a rich jasmine-like scent.

This elegant climbing plant is perfect for training up trellises, fences and walls, bringing year-round greenery and seasonal flowers to patios, balconies and garden borders. Trachelospermum jasminoides can also be grown in containers and, in bright conditions, may even be grown indoors.

As the plant matures, its twining stems form a dense covering of deep green leaves that can take on attractive bronze tones in cooler weather, making Star Jasmine a valuable evergreen plant for structure and interest throughout the year.

Plant Care
Place in a bright, warm and sheltered position with plenty of sunlight. Water when the top inch of the compost has dried out, keeping the soil lightly moist but well drained. Provide a support such as a trellis or wires for climbing and prune lightly to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth.
