How to plant

Bulbs
Plant with the pointed end facing upwards, so they are fully covered by compost with the tip just below the surface. Water well after planting and keep lightly moist as growth begins.

Bare roots
Soak in water for around one hour before planting. They are best started in pots in early spring and grown on in a sheltered outdoor spot before being planted out into borders or larger containers in late spring. Plant so the roots are covered with compost and any shoots or growth points are just at or above the surface. Water well after planting.
