Spathiphyllum 'Bingo Cupido'

Spathiphyllum ‘Bingo Cupido’, commonly known as a Peace Lily, is a larger-growing variety with broad, glossy green leaves and impressive white flower spathes held above the foliage. Compared with many standard Peace Lilies, ‘Bingo Cupido’ is particularly notable for its substantial flowers and full, architectural shape.

At approximately 70cm tall, this is an established specimen with immediate presence, making it an excellent choice for a living room, bedroom, office or other space where you want plenty of lush foliage without a huge footprint.

Light & Position

Prefers bright, indirect light but will also tolerate some partial shade. Good indirect light will generally encourage stronger growth and more reliable flowering. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering

Keep the compost lightly and evenly moist, allowing the surface to dry slightly between waterings. Water thoroughly and let excess water drain away rather than allowing the plant to sit in water.

Peace Lilies can droop noticeably when thirsty, but it is better to water based on the compost rather than waiting for the plant to wilt heavily each time.

Humidity & Temperature

Keep in warm, stable indoor conditions and away from cold draughts, radiators and other direct heat sources. It appreciates moderate humidity but regular misting is not essential in a typical home.

Feeding

Feed approximately once a month during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser while the plant is actively growing. Reduce or stop feeding during winter.

Flowering

The white structures commonly described as Peace Lily flowers are actually decorative spathes surrounding the central flower spike. ‘Bingo Cupido’ is known for producing especially large white spathes, which stand out beautifully against the deep green foliage.
