Senecio radicans, commonly known as String of Bananas, is a beautiful trailing succulent with long cascading stems covered in distinctive banana-shaped leaves. Supplied in a 14cm hanging pot, this easy-care houseplant creates an impressive display as the stems spill gracefully over shelves, plant stands and hanging brackets.

Native to South Africa, String of Bananas thrives in bright conditions and is perfect for anyone looking for a low-maintenance trailing houseplant. As the plant matures, the stems can grow impressively long, making it one of the most rewarding hanging succulents to grow indoors.

Place in bright indirect light or a position with some gentle direct sun. Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings, as the fleshy leaves store water and help the plant cope with periods of drought. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted cactus or houseplant fertiliser.
