Sedum 'Thundercloud', also known as Stonecrop, is a striking hardy perennial grown for its bold architectural flower heads and succulent blue-green foliage. Flowering from late summer into autumn, it brings valuable colour and structure to the garden just as many other plants begin to fade.
Large clusters of tiny star-shaped flowers emerge in soft creamy white before gradually deepening with age, creating long-lasting seasonal interest while attracting bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. The fleshy foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season and stores water, making this an excellent choice for low-maintenance and drought-tolerant planting.
Perfect for sunny borders, gravel gardens, containers and wildlife-friendly spaces, Sedum 'Thundercloud' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, it requires very little watering and is exceptionally easy to grow. Leave the flower heads standing over winter for additional structure before cutting them back in early spring as new growth begins.
