Although known as cactus this is actually a tropical succulent. In late September, place the plant in a dark room for 4 weeks to promote new flower buds.
Water thoroughly and then allow the top inch of soil to dry out before re-watering. Prefers bright, indirect light. Mist frequently and apply cacti feed in the spring and summer.
