Saintpaulia 'Blue'

Saintpaulia, commonly known as the African Violet, is one of the world's most loved flowering houseplants. Prized for its compact habit and long-lasting blooms, this variety produces clusters of rich dark blue flowers above a rosette of soft, velvety deep green leaves.

Flowering repeatedly throughout the year with the right care, African Violets are perfect for bright windowsills, desks, shelves and smaller spaces where their colourful blooms can be enjoyed up close. Their compact size and ease of care make them an excellent choice for both new and experienced plant lovers.

Place in bright, indirect light and keep the compost lightly moist, allowing excess water to drain freely. Water from the base whenever possible to avoid wetting the leaves and crown. Feed every two weeks during spring and summer with a flowering houseplant fertiliser to encourage continuous blooms.
