Philodendron pedatum (150cm)

Philodendron pedatum, commonly known as the Oak Leaf Philodendron, is a striking climbing houseplant with large, deeply lobed leaves that become increasingly dramatic as the plant matures. Its sculptural foliage and lush tropical growth make it an impressive statement plant for larger indoor spaces.

This established specimen is supplied growing up a coir support pole, encouraging its natural climbing habit and giving the plant an elegant upright form. As it matures, the leaves can become larger and more intricately divided.

Light & Position

Prefers bright, indirect light for the strongest growth, although it will tolerate some gentle shade. Avoid prolonged strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.

Watering

Water thoroughly when the top few centimetres of compost have dried, allowing any excess water to drain away. Avoid leaving the plant sitting in water.

Care

Keep in a warm position away from cold draughts. Feed approximately once a month during spring and summer with a diluted houseplant fertiliser.
