Phalaenopsis 'Optimost' is a premium flowering orchid, selected for its exceptional blooms, vibrant colours and long-lasting display. Commonly known as the Moth Orchid, this elegant houseplant produces graceful sprays of flowers above glossy, deep green leaves, making it one of the most popular indoor orchids.
Easy to care for and capable of flowering for several months, Phalaenopsis orchids thrive in bright, indirect light and warm, humid conditions, making them an excellent choice for homes and offices.
To water, stand the nursery pot in a container of water for around one hour once a week, allowing the compost to absorb moisture from below. Remove the plant afterwards and allow it to drain fully, as prolonged soaking can damage the roots. Once the flowers have finished, cut the flower spike back and continue regular care. With patience, your orchid will produce a fresh flowering stem. Feed with a liquid orchid fertiliser every two weeks during spring and summer.
