Neem oil is a naturally occurring insecticide that comes from the seeds of the Neem Tree, Azadirachta indica. Neem oil can be used as an effective and natural way to kill bugs on houseplants, or battle tough insect pests out in the garden.
- Controls a wide variety of insects, including aphids, mealybugs, whiteflies, thrips, fungus gnats, and other garden pests like spider mites. Neem oil can also help with fungal diseases like powdery mildew, black spot, scab and leaf spot.
Instructions for use:
Mix one drop of dish soap with 100ml of cold water. Once mixed, slowly add 20 drops of neem oil and thoroughly stir or shake the mixture. Decant in to a spray bottle. The dish soap acts as an emulsifier which disperses the neem oil in the water.
Spray the top and undersides of foliage and also the stems and soil surface. Keep your plant out of direct sunlight until the sprayed mixture has dried.
