Bring Cascading Charm to Your Space
The String of Turtles (Peperomia prostrata) is a compact trailing plant with tiny turtle-patterned leaves that spill gracefully from shelves and planters. It adds gentle movement and a unique texture to any room.
Why You'll Love It
- Beautiful trailing habit: Perfect on shelves, in hangers or cascading from plant stands
- Space-friendly: Trails around 20–30cm without taking over
- Pet-safe: Non-toxic to cats and dogs
- Easy care: Ideal for low-fuss plant lovers
- Distinct foliage: Succulent-like leaves with a turtle-shell pattern
Care Guide
Light: Bright, indirect light (east or west windows work well)
Water: Let the top 2–3cm of soil dry out between waterings
Humidity: Happy in normal home conditions; occasional misting is a bonus
Growth: Slow to moderate trailer with fuller cascades over 6–12 months
What You’ll Receive
One healthy Peperomia prostrata in a 9cm nursery pot — ready for your favourite decorative planter.
Styling Tips
Show it off high up so the vines can trail freely. Try a bright windowsill, a floating shelf or a small hanging planter. It also looks lovely grouped with other compact trailers.
Pot Size: 9cm
Fits decorative pots sized 10cm and above.
Pair it with our glass plant mister to keep foliage fresh and hydrated.

Care Instructions
Light
Prefers moderate to bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can result in scorched leaves.
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow most of the compost to dry out before rewatering. Overwatering will cause the roots to rot.
Food
Feed once a month through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in the winter months.
Humidity
Lightly mist occasionally, but avoid too much water sitting on the leaves of the plant.
