Pennisetum 'Tiny Tails' is a beautiful compact dwarf fountain grass, grown for its graceful arching foliage and soft, feathery flower heads that dance gently in the breeze. Its naturally tidy habit makes it an excellent choice for pots, patios, balconies and smaller gardens where larger ornamental grasses would overwhelm the space.
Flowering from mid to late summer, the fluffy bottlebrush-like blooms rise above the fresh green foliage, creating movement, texture and long-lasting interest. As autumn approaches, the foliage develops warm golden tones, extending its seasonal appeal well beyond the flowering period.
Easy to grow and wonderfully low maintenance, Pennisetum 'Tiny Tails' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing, particularly in containers, and cut the old foliage back to just above ground level in late winter or early spring before fresh growth begins.
