Oxalis 'Plum Crazy' (12cm pot)

Oxalis ‘Plum Crazy’ is a beautiful and unusual houseplant with striking purple leaves splashed with pink variegation. Compact and eye-catching, it adds colour, movement and personality to shelves, desks and bright windowsills.

The delicate leaves open and close with the light, folding up in the evening and reopening in the morning. During the growing season, the plant produces cheerful bright yellow flowers that contrast beautifully with the dramatic foliage.

Unlike many Oxalis varieties, ‘Plum Crazy’ behaves more like a semi-succulent and can be easily propagated. It can be grown indoors year-round and moved outdoors in spring and summer.

Light & Position

Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. A bright windowsill works well, although harsh midday sun should be avoided.

Watering

Water thoroughly, then allow the top layer of compost to dry before watering again. Reduce watering during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.

Care

Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted houseplant fertiliser. Growth may slow or the plant may enter a period of rest during winter, which is completely normal.
