Nandina domestica ‘Lemon & Lime’ is a striking evergreen shrub, valued for its fresh, luminous foliage in shades of lime green and soft yellow. Upright and architectural in form, it brings year-round colour and structure to outdoor spaces, looking particularly good in pots on terraces, balconies and doorways.
Unlike darker-leaved Nandina varieties, ‘Lemon & Lime’ offers a lighter, more contemporary feel. New growth emerges bright and vibrant, gradually deepening in tone as it matures, creating subtle seasonal variation without dramatic colour loss in winter.
Hardy and adaptable, Nandina thrives outdoors in a bright, sheltered position. It prefers free-draining compost and benefits from regular watering during its first season, allowing the top layer of compost to dry slightly between waterings. Once established, it is relatively drought tolerant. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser to encourage healthy growth.
