Lithops lesliei, often known as a Living Stone, is a fascinating miniature succulent prized for its pebble-like appearance. Native to southern Africa, Lithops have evolved to resemble small stones in order to blend into their natural surroundings, making them one of the most unusual and collectible houseplants available.
Compact, sculptural and wonderfully low maintenance, Lithops are perfect for bright windowsills, desks or shelves. Their unusual form makes them a real talking point and a great choice for anyone drawn to rare and curious plants.
Light: Requires a bright position with plenty of light, including some direct sun.
Watering: Water very sparingly. Allow the compost to dry out fully between waterings and reduce watering significantly during dormancy.
Soil: Best in a free-draining cactus or succulent compost.
Care: Avoid overwatering, as Lithops are highly sensitive to excess moisture.
