Hoya ‘Dee’s Big One’ is a sought-after, collectable wax plant often classified as Hoya skinneriana. It is best known for producing exceptionally large, showy flower clusters, far bigger than those of most hoyas. The plant has thick, mid-green leaves and a relaxed climbing habit, ideal for a small trellis or hoop.
When mature, this hoya produces impressive umbels of oversized, waxy flowers in soft pink tones with a deeper central crown. These highly sculptural blooms are long-lasting and lightly fragrant, making Hoya skinneriana ‘Dee’s Big One’ a favourite among serious hoya collectors.
Grow in bright, indirect light and allow the compost to dry most of the way between waterings. A free-draining mix is essential. Like most hoyas, it prefers to be slightly pot-bound and should not be overpotted.
