Discover the beauty of Hoya 'Mathilde Splash' – a rarely seen and highly sought-after wax plant known for its round, deep-green leaves dusted with delicate silver speckles. This elegant variety combines sculptural form with low-maintenance care, making it perfect for collectors and houseplant enthusiasts alike.
The Hoya genus was named after Thomas Hoy, gardener to the Duke of Northumberland. Native to tropical Asia, Hoyas are prized for their glossy foliage and clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers that appear under the right growing conditions.
Hoya Mathilde can be trained to climb around supports or left to trail gracefully from shelves or hanging planters. Water only when the top two inches of soil are dry, and place in bright, indirect light to encourage strong growth. Feed every two weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
