Hoya kerrii, often known as the Sweetheart Plant or Valentine Hoya, is famous for its thick, heart-shaped leaves. While it is commonly sold as a single rooted leaf, this is a genuine vining specimen that will continue to grow, climb and produce new foliage over time.
Its succulent-like leaves store water, making it an easy-care and drought-tolerant houseplant. As it matures, Hoya kerrii develops long trailing stems adorned with distinctive green hearts, creating a unique and highly collectible display. Given the right conditions, mature plants may also reward you with clusters of fragrant star-shaped flowers.
Position in bright, indirect light and allow the compost to dry partially between waterings. Water more sparingly during winter and feed regularly throughout spring and summer to encourage healthy growth.
