Hoya australis ‘Tricolour’ is a beautiful variegated wax plant with glossy green leaves splashed with creamy white and soft pink tones. New growth often emerges flushed with brighter pink, giving the plant an ever-changing display of colour.
This easy-care Hoya can be left to trail from a shelf or hanging planter, or trained to climb around a support. Given plenty of bright light and the right conditions, mature plants may also produce clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers.
Light & Position
Prefers bright, indirect light. Plenty of light will help maintain strong variegation and encourage healthy growth, although harsh midday sun should be avoided.
Watering
Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry between waterings, then water thoroughly. Avoid keeping the compost constantly wet.
Care
Feed every two to four weeks during spring and summer with a diluted houseplant fertiliser. It can be allowed to trail naturally or trained around a support as it grows.

Care Instructions
Light
Place in bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning or evening sun can encourage flowering, but avoid prolonged harsh midday sun, which may scorch the leaves.
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering again. This plant stores moisture in its fleshy leaves and prefers to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during winter.
Food
Feed once a month during spring and summer with a quality liquid houseplant fertiliser. Regular feeding encourages healthy growth, strong roots and more reliable flowering.
Humidity
This plant is happy in average household humidity but appreciates slightly higher humidity where possible. Good air circulation is equally important for healthy growth. Avoid excessive misting.
