Homalomena ‘Camouflage’ is a rare and unusual tropical houseplant loved for its heart-shaped emerald leaves patterned with beautiful dappled green variegation. Subtle, textured and quietly striking, it is a wonderful choice if you are looking for something a little more unusual than the classic houseplant staples.
Part of the Araceae family, Homalomena are native to the warm, humid forests of southern Asia. This gives you a helpful clue to its care preferences — warm temperatures, gentle light and steady watering.
Homalomena care
Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the top half of the soil to dry before watering again.
Temperature: Keep above 15°C and avoid cold draughts.
Feeding: Feed fortnightly during spring and summer.
Pet friendly: No – toxic if eaten.
