Heteropanax chinensis, sometimes known as the Indoor Quince Tree, is a striking indoor tree with a strong, textured trunk and a dense canopy of fresh green foliage. Its natural, tree-like form brings height and structure to a room while still feeling soft and elegant.
Heteropanax makes an excellent statement plant for larger indoor spaces and can grow quickly when given the right conditions. Its leafy canopy gives it the appearance of a miniature outdoor tree, making it particularly effective in living rooms, hallways and commercial interiors.
Light & Position
Prefers bright, indirect light and will tolerate some gentle sun. Avoid prolonged strong direct sunlight, which can stress or scorch the foliage.
Watering
Allow the top layer of compost to dry slightly between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away. Reduce watering during winter and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water.
Care
Keep in a warm position away from cold draughts. Feed monthly during spring and summer and rotate the plant occasionally to encourage even growth. Some leaf drop can occur after moving while the plant adjusts to its new position.
