Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'Variegata'

Gymnocalycium mihanovichii ‘Variegata’ is a striking collector’s cactus with a sculptural, ribbed form splashed and marbled with vivid shades of pink, coral, orange and yellow against deep green. Compact but full of character, it is a brilliant choice for adding colour to a cactus or succulent collection.

Each plant develops its own completely unique pattern of variegation, so no two are exactly alike. The combination of bold colouring and geometric form makes this a particularly eye-catching small cactus.

Light & Position

Prefers bright, indirect light or some gentle sun. Protect from strong midday sunlight, which can scorch the more highly variegated areas.

Watering

Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. Water much more sparingly during winter and never leave the plant sitting in water.

Care

Keep in a warm, bright position and use a free-draining cactus compost. Feed occasionally during spring and summer with a diluted cactus fertiliser.
