Fittonia, commonly known as the Nerve Plant, is a compact tropical houseplant loved for its beautifully patterned leaves and contrasting veins in shades of pink, red or white. Its colourful foliage makes it perfect for adding interest to smaller spaces, shelves and terrariums.
Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, Fittonia naturally grows in warm, humid conditions beneath the forest canopy. Each plant has its own distinctive colouring, and your plant will be selected as a lucky dip from our current mix of varieties.
Light & Position
Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate leaves.
Watering
Keep the compost consistently lightly moist but never waterlogged. Fittonia can wilt dramatically if allowed to dry out completely, although it often recovers quickly after watering.
Humidity
Enjoys higher humidity, making it particularly well suited to terrariums, kitchens and bathrooms. Keep away from radiators and dry draughts.
