Epipremnum ‘Cebu Blue’ is a beautiful and highly sought-after trailing houseplant, loved for its distinctive blue-green foliage and elegant growth habit. Its elongated leaves have a subtle metallic sheen that gives the plant an almost silvery appearance, making it a standout addition to any indoor plant collection.

Native to the Philippines, this unusual form of Epipremnum pinnatum is fast growing, easy to care for and wonderfully versatile. Allow it to trail from a shelf or hanging planter, or train it up a moss pole where its leaves can mature and become larger over time.

Like many members of the Araceae family, Epipremnum ‘Cebu Blue’ thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers to dry slightly between waterings. It is a forgiving plant that adapts well to most homes, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced plant owners.

The unique blue-green foliage pairs beautifully with a wide range of decorative pots and contrasts particularly well with darker-leaved houseplants. Its easy-going nature and unusual colouring have made it a firm favourite among collectors and interior plant enthusiasts alike.

For best results, position in bright, indirect light and allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering. Avoid prolonged periods of direct sunlight, which may scorch the foliage.

Care Instructions

Light

Prefers indirect bright light and will tolerate direct sunlight in the morning or evening. If positioned in a shadier spot the plant will offer less growth and require less water.

Water

Thoroughly water, then allow the top few centimeters of compost to dry before re-watering. Water less in winter when the plant is growing more slowly. Over-watering can cause root rot.

Food

Feed every second time you water through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in winter.

Humidity

This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth to improve photosynthesis.
