Lavandula angustifolia, better known as English Lavender, is a wonderfully fragrant hardy perennial, loved for its aromatic silvery-green foliage and elegant purple flower spikes. Blooming throughout summer, it fills gardens with colour, beautiful scent and the gentle buzz of visiting bees and butterflies.
Perfect for borders, patios, balconies and containers, English Lavender thrives in sunny positions and brings timeless Mediterranean charm to gardens of every size. The highly scented flowers are ideal for cutting and drying, allowing you to enjoy their fragrance indoors long after summer has faded.
Easy to grow and wonderfully low maintenance, plant in full sun in well-drained soil or compost. Water regularly while establishing, then only during prolonged dry spells. Lightly trim after flowering each year to maintain a neat, bushy shape and encourage an abundance of flowers the following summer.
