Echinacea purpurea 'SunMagic Watermelon' is a vibrant hardy perennial producing large, daisy-like flowers in rich watermelon pink with prominent copper-orange centres. Flowering generously from midsummer into autumn, it provides months of colour while attracting bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators to the garden.
Part of the compact SunMagic series, this well-branched variety has a naturally tidy habit, making it ideal for sunny borders, wildlife gardens and patio containers. The long-lasting blooms are also excellent for cutting, bringing vibrant summer colour indoors.
Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing, then only during prolonged dry spells. Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming throughout the season, and leave the seed heads in autumn to provide winter interest and a valuable food source for birds.
