Drosera capensis

Drosera capensis, commonly known as the Cape Sundew, is a fascinating carnivorous houseplant with slender leaves covered in glistening, sticky tentacles. These droplets attract and trap small insects, which the plant then slowly digests for nutrients.

Light & Position

Prefers bright light and will benefit from some gentle direct sun. A bright windowsill is ideal.

Water Quality

Use rainwater or distilled water wherever possible. Avoid tap water, as the minerals it contains can build up in the compost and damage the plant.
