The Chamaedorea elegans, often known as the Parlour Palm, has been a favourite since Victorian times — and for good reason. With its soft, feathery fronds and elegant form, it brings a calm, timeless feel to any interior while also helping to gently improve air quality.
Slow-growing and wonderfully easy to care for, it’s an ideal choice for both beginners and experienced plant lovers alike. It thrives in bright, indirect light but will happily tolerate lower light conditions — just avoid very dark corners.
Keep the compost lightly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting the plant sit in water, as this can lead to root issues. Regular misting will help maintain humidity and keep the foliage looking its best.
