Ceropegia woodii, commonly known as the String of Hearts, is a beautiful trailing houseplant with delicate heart-shaped leaves that grow in opposite pairs along slender cascading vines. The foliage is soft green with subtle silver marbling, often developing purple tones on the undersides.
This elegant semi-succulent plant is perfect for shelves, hanging planters or trailing from high pots where its long stems can spill gracefully downwards. Easy to care for and surprisingly drought tolerant, the String of Hearts plant is an excellent choice for beginners as well as experienced plant collectors.
Light: Bright indirect light is ideal. A little gentle morning or evening sun will enhance leaf colour.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Water sparingly during winter months.
Feeding: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a weak houseplant fertiliser.
