Calathea ornata, also known as the Pinstripe Plant, features elegant dark green leaves painted with delicate pink stripes. Even in this smaller 7cm pot size, it brings colour and calm to any indoor space.
Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, Calatheas are admired for their patterned foliage and graceful movement — their leaves gently rise and fall with changing light throughout the day. They’re part of the Marantaceae family and safe for pets.
Place in bright, indirect light and keep the soil lightly moist, misting occasionally to maintain humidity. Feed occasionally in spring and summer for best growth.

Care Instructions
Light
Position out of any direct sunight! If in a shadier spot, the plant will offer less growth and require less water.
Water
Thoroughly water, then allow the top 3 to 4cm of compost to dry before re-watering. Water less in winter when the plant is growing more slowly. Over-watering can cause root rot.
Food
Feed every second time you water through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in winter.
Humidity
This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water.
