Begonia rex 'Inca Flame'

Begonia rex ‘Inca Flame’ is a striking foliage plant with richly coloured leaves in deep crimson, burgundy and warm copper tones, often finished with a soft metallic sheen. A true Painted Leaf Begonia, it’s grown for its bold, patterned foliage rather than its flowers, bringing colour and texture to indoor spaces all year round.

The leaves are slightly spiralled and beautifully textured, catching the light in a way that gives the plant a subtle glow. Compared to softer or more silver-toned rex varieties, ‘Inca Flame’ offers a warmer, more насыщated palette, making it ideal for adding depth to shelves, desks or grouped plant displays.

While it may occasionally produce small flowers, these are not the main attraction. We recommend gently removing them so the plant can focus its energy on producing its standout foliage.

During warmer months, it can be placed outdoors in a sheltered spot, but should be brought back indoors before temperatures begin to drop.

Begonia rex care

Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never waterlogged.
Humidity: Prefers higher humidity. Ideal for kitchens or bathrooms, or placed near other plants. Avoid misting directly onto the leaves.
Temperature: Keep in a warm room and away from cold draughts.
Pet friendly: No. Toxic if ingested.
