The Cast Iron Plant is an elegant and easy to care for foliage plant which tolerates low light. It has tough, leathery leaves and was a firm favourite with the Victorians.
Native to South East Asia.
Tolerates all levels of indirect light – very tolerant of shade. Water when the top inch of soil has dried out. Do not over-water! Apply feed every month in spring and summer.

Care Instructions
Light
Prefers indirect bright light and will tolerate direct sunlight in the morning or evening. Too much direct sunlight can result in scorched leaves.
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the top half of the compost to dry before rewatering. Over-watering will cause root rot.
Food
Feed every second time you water through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in winter.
Humidity
This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth to improve photosynthesis.
