Armeria maritima ‘Armada Rose’ is a tough, compact perennial with neat, grassy evergreen foliage and cheerful, pom-pom flower heads in vibrant rose pink. Flowering over summer, it is a brilliant choice for adding colour to pots, gravel gardens, rockeries and sunny borders, especially in smaller spaces.
Also known as Sea Thrift, Armeria naturally thrives in coastal conditions, which makes it wonderfully resilient. It prefers bright light and free-draining compost, and once established it copes well with drier spells. A great plant if you want something long-flowering, hardy and low fuss.
Armeria care
Light: Full sun is best. Bright outdoor light encourages the strongest flowering.
Water: Water well, then allow the compost to dry slightly before watering again. Avoid waterlogged soil.
Feeding: Feed lightly in spring. Too much feed can reduce flowering.
Deadheading: Remove spent flower stems to encourage repeat blooms and keep the plant tidy.
