add a pot to fit this plant

Anthurium ‘Million Flowers’ is a beautiful indoor plant known for its glossy heart-shaped leaves and abundance of long-lasting blooms. This variety produces impressive spathes that can hold their colour for up to six weeks, making it a standout addition to any bright home.

Native to South America and the Caribbean, Anthuriums naturally grow in warm, humid environments. Many are epiphytic and are found attached to trees where they absorb moisture from the air. This makes them excellent houseplants as they thrive in steady warmth and gentle, filtered light.

The Anthurium genus is renowned for its vibrant, waxy blooms, though rarer varieties are prized for dramatic foliage. The ‘Million Flowers’ cultivar offers generous flowering alongside its attractive leaves.

How to Care for Anthurium ‘Million Flowers’

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid strong midday sun which can scorch the leaves.
  • Water: Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between watering. Anthuriums dislike sitting in water so ensure good drainage.
  • Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity. A bathroom with good light or use of a humidifier can help keep foliage healthy.
  • Temperature: Keep in a warm room away from cold draughts. Ideal temperature is between 18–24°C.
  • Feeding: Use a balanced houseplant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer for stronger growth and more flowering.
  • Maintenance: Remove spent blooms to encourage new ones and wipe leaves occasionally to keep them glossy.

Why Choose Anthurium ‘Million Flowers’?

  • A reliable long-flowering indoor plant
  • Glossy heart-shaped foliage with a premium feel
  • Perfect for bright rooms or as a thoughtful gift
  • Easy to care for with simple light and humidity needs
