Alpinia zerumbet ‘Variegata’ [Variegated Shell Ginger]
An unusual and rarely seen tropic-loving plant with stunning leaf variegation. Alpinia is a genus within the ginger family and it is native to East Asia.
Water thoroughly and allow the top inch of compost to dry out before re-watering. Grows best in bright indirect light and will tolerate some early or late day direct sunlight. Retain temperatures above 15C. Feed fortnightly in summer. Mist regularly.
