Alocasia ‘Bambino Arrow’
Elephant Ear
🚚 Free UK shipping on orders over £50 🪴
Alocasia ‘Bambino Arrow’ is a striking compact houseplant with narrow, arrow-shaped leaves and bold silvery-white veining. Though small in size, it makes a big visual impact, bringing a sculptural, tropical feel to shelves, side tables and smaller indoor spaces.
Commonly known as an Elephant Ear plant, Alocasia are loved for their dramatic foliage and architectural shape. Alocasia ‘Bambino Arrow’ stands out for its upright habit, deep green leaves and elegant high-contrast veins, making it a beautiful choice for anyone looking to add texture and interest to their home.
Native to the tropical rainforests of Asia and Eastern Australia, Alocasia thrive in warmth, humidity and bright, indirect light. Keep this plant somewhere warm, ideally above 16°C, and away from strong direct sun.
Like other Alocasia, Bambino Arrow grows from tuberous rhizomes which store water and nutrients. This means it is more sensitive to overwatering than many other houseplants, particularly in the UK. Allow the compost to dry slightly between waterings, and always check the soil before adding more water. Free-draining compost and good drainage will help keep the roots healthy.

Care Instructions
Light
Prefers moderate to bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can result in scorched leaves.
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the top half of the compost to dry out completely before rewatering. This plant stores water and therefore overwatering can cause root rot.
Food
Apply a high quality liquid fertiliser fortnightly in the spring and summer. Do not feed in the autumn and winter months.
Humidity
This plant enjoys high humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Or place on a pebble tray filled with water just below the top of the pebbles.
