Lucky Red Chinese Evergreen
🚚 Free UK shipping on orders over £50 🪴
Aglaonema 'Lucky Red', commonly known as the Lucky Red Chinese Evergreen, is a colourful tropical houseplant prized for its ever-changing foliage. New leaves emerge a soft blush pink before gradually intensifying to vibrant hot pink and finally maturing to rich crimson-red, beautifully framed by glossy green margins. The changing colours make every plant unique and provide year-round interest.
Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, Aglaonema belong to the Araceae family and are renowned for their adaptability, making them one of the easiest houseplants to grow. 'Lucky Red' combines this easy-going nature with spectacular foliage, bringing a bold splash of colour to shelves, desks and windowsills.
For the richest red tones, position your plant in bright, indirect light. It will also tolerate lower light levels, although the foliage will remain softer shades of pink and green. Water when the top few centimetres of compost have dried out, avoiding prolonged soggy soil, and feed occasionally during spring and summer to encourage healthy new growth.

Care Instructions
Light
Prefers indirect bright light and will tolerate direct sunlight in the morning or evening. If positioned in a shadier spot the plant will offer less growth and require less water.
Water
Thoroughly water, then allow the top few centimeters of compost to dry before re-watering. Water less in winter when the plant is growing more slowly. Over-watering can cause root rot.
Food
Feed every second time you water through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in winter.
Humidity
This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth to improve photosynthesis.
