A superb trailing/climbing plant with excellent variegation. The Hoya genus is named after Thomas Hoy who was gardener to the Duke of Northumberland.  Can be trained to climb or allowed to hang as a trailing plant.

Water thoroughly once the top two inches of soil has dried out. Bright indirect light is best and feed every two weeks in spring/summer.

Care Instructions

Light

Prefers indirect bright light and will tolerate direct sunlight in the morning or evening. If positioned in a shadier spot the plant will offer less growth and require less water.

Water

Thoroughly water, then allow the top few centimeters of compost to dry before re-watering. Water less in winter when the plant is growing more slowly. Over-watering can cause root rot.

Food

Feed every second time you water through spring and summer with a quality liquid plant food. There is no need to feed this plant in winter.

Humidity

This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth to improve photosynthesis.
