Pilea peperomioides, commonly known as the Chinese Money Plant, is a much-loved houseplant with distinctive round green leaves held on slender stems. This miniature version is perfect for shelves, desks, windowsills and smaller spaces.
Native to southern China, Pilea peperomioides is admired for its simple, sculptural shape and easy-going nature. Its circular leaves have also helped earn it the nicknames UFO Plant and Pancake Plant.
Light & Position
Prefers moderate to bright, indirect light. Rotate the plant regularly to encourage even, balanced growth.
Watering
Allow the top layer of compost to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain away and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water.
Care
Feed every two to four weeks during spring and summer with a diluted houseplant fertiliser. Keep away from cold draughts and very hot radiators.
